Acupuncture

What is Acupuncture?

Acupuncture started in Ancient China several hundred years ago, and became popularized within Western Medicine and continues to grow in popularity as people experience the benefits it gives. Acupuncture is both fast and effective in treating many mechanical, musculoskeletal, neurological, and vascular conditions with the use of very small, disposable needles. Acupuncture is a great supplement to treating these conditions or as a treatment itself, especially if manual therapy may be too uncomfortable to perform.

Can Acupuncture help me?

Acupuncture can help in both pre and post surgical treatments, Ligamentous sprains, muscular strains. It can also help with Chronic Inflammation (Edema) and severe neurological conditions such as Sciatic pain and other nerve entrapments.

By inserting these needles in specific points called, "Acupuncture Points" that are left anywhere between 15-30 minutes, we are able to release endorphins, which are the bodies natural painkiller and help to promote healing.

Both Erin and Caleb will use the proper care and will always uphold the highest level of professionalism and safety when performing Acupuncture.

Is Acupuncture covered by Insurance?

For insurance purposes, Acupuncture is billed under Massage Therapy or Naturopathic Medicine and is not separate to billing as Acupuncture. To bill as Acupuncture, Caleb would need a complete certification as "Acupuncturist".
